Contact Repair

QTM’S Electric Utility Division specializes in refurbishing and rebuilding electrical contacts which results in a superior finished product.

QTM uses only original specification copper-tungsten and silver-tungsten contact tip metals to ensure quality and increase product life in sever electrical and mechanical contact wear applications.

When QTM manufactures new contacts from old, we follow original blueprints (when available) so we can reproduce exact dimensions and specifications. When necessary, QTM also performs metallurgical tests so we can replace original metals with the same metals.

All brazing is performed by AWS certified personnel.

QTM silver plates all parts originally silver plated.

QTM maintains an inventory of standard parts, such as GE FKD rods and fingers.
